The PROMSGS file
The
PROMSGSfile contains OpenEdge run-time messages in a particular language. EachPROMSGSfile has a file extension named after the language and resides in a directory named after the language. For example, the HungarianPROMSGSfile,promsgs.hun, resides in theDLC/prolang/hundirectory, and the JapanesePROMSGSfile,promsgs.jpn, resides in theDLC/prolang/jpndirectory.OpenEdge supplies a
PROMSGSfile for each language it supports. When you package an international application, be sure to supply thePROMSGSfiles your customers need. When you configure an international application, you can tell OpenEdge whichPROMSGSfile to use by using one of the following techniques:For more information on setting the
